Privacy

This notice supplements BroFam's shared privacy notice for ReviewsBro.

Information processed

ReviewsBro processes Shopify shop and installation identifiers, merchant configuration, product and variant references, review ratings and text, reviewer display names, verification and provenance evidence, moderation history, merchant responses, incentive status, and customer-submitted image or video media. Customer and order identifiers are minimized or pseudonymized for ordinary operations. Shopify authorization tokens are encrypted server-side.

Purpose

Information is used to authenticate and isolate merchants, collect and display reviews, establish available verification evidence, process and moderate media, prevent duplicate or abusive activity, migrate authorized review data, create public storefront projections, support privacy requests, and operate merchant-enabled feeds or syndication. ReviewsBro does not sell personal information or use one merchant's private information for another merchant.

Service providers and Google programs

Shopify provides commerce identity and app authorization. Amazon Web Services provides application hosting, private storage, edge delivery, malware-result processing, and media transformation. Google receives review information only when a supported program is enabled and authorized. Merchant-direct Product Ratings feeds remain under the merchant's control. ReviewsBro is not currently a Google-supported Product Ratings aggregator or Store Ratings partner. See BroFam's subprocessor notice.

Visibility and media

Published review text, rating, display name, date, verification label, merchant response, incentive disclosure, and approved media may be publicly visible. Raw uploads stay private and are not served to storefronts. Processed media remains private until approved for publication.

Choices, access, and deletion

Reviewers may request access to or deletion of their ReviewsBro information through BroFam's secure contact form. Shopify's mandatory privacy webhooks support customer data requests, customer redaction, and shop redaction. Uninstall disables the installation and begins the documented tenant-deletion lifecycle.

Security and retention

ReviewsBro uses tenant-bound authorization, encrypted transport and storage, bounded uploads, private media quarantine, malware-result checks, idempotency controls, audit records, and edge artifacts that exclude private operational data. Retention varies by record purpose, privacy obligations, fraud prevention, and merchant-review program requirements. Public seller reviews may remain available after a merchant stops collecting new reviews except when removed under the integrity policy or at the reviewer's request.

Contact and changes

Use the secure contact form for privacy questions. Do not submit credentials or unnecessary customer information. Material changes receive a new version and effective date.
